It was wonderful working with Team Planet Hope once again. There were a lot of things I learnt as an intern. Though it was online the tasks and activities were interesting and engaging and helped me gain a lot as a person in the professional sense. Cheers to this amazing experience.

Everything’s has been online ever since the pandemic started. I thought I wouldn’t get good exposure as my classes were also online, but everything changed after joining Planet Hope. I got the best exposure visiting fishing communities and Tsunami affected communities. It was surreal interviewing Tsunami affected families. I would forever be grateful for the excellent learning experience I got through Planet Hope.

This is my first internship at an organisation, I had a vast exposure in various different communities with accurate guidance by a supervisor. Through intervention projects of Planet Hope I could acquire a lot of knowledge and groom myself as a good professional social worker and a better person while communicating with people and understanding them.

Through this online internship at Planet Hope, I as an intern have learnt so much and have opened up to many experiences, worked efficiently not only with the work assigned by the agency but also worked on a lot of personal up-gradation with emphasis on communication. Thank you to the agency for helping incubate these skills and knowledge that will serve as a reminder for a lifetime as a cooperative worker. I have learnt so much not just as an intern but as a person, though the internship was online, I’ve tried to help amplify the work that the organisation does.

At Planet Hope, Netherlands where I got to intern with the Bangalore team, the overall experience was excellent. I got to see how an NGO works and how various roles were important. As an HR student, I got involved in multiple Administrative functions, from working on leave tracker and job description and aided with propels for employee engagement activity, social inclusion practices at the workspace, training and development sessions, and the EPA module. I got to see the community outreach program. The employee job satisfaction mini project was conducted where most of the employees are satisfied with their work. During this one month. I could not have asked for a more rewarding experience. I am incredibly grateful for the practical experience in the field of HR. This was a great learning experience for me because, after my internship, I concluded that this was something I could see myself doing as a career.

”I am from Bihar and my Father is a carpenter and mother is a stay at home mom. I live with my family in Bangalore, I feel very happy to learn computer and I learn new things in computer I learnt typing ABCD, drawing and story writing from type master, Durga Akka taught me the drawing and I want to thank the whole team of Planet hope Asia, as they take free classes. I have never painted ever in my life and I was not very interested in painting, I wanted to give it a shot and I painted the room, I outlined the artwork. I was happy when I saw that people appreciated the art work I did and I started liking painting and will continue painting as it interests me and it makes me feel relaxed”.

My name is Saba. I am in 8th grade in Carmel high school and I am from Uttar Pradesh, my father is into carpentry work. He rarely gets a good pay although he goes to work everyday. And my mother is unemployed. I came to Bangalore because of my dad's job and in my village there is no good job available and also schools are not good in my state. I felt very happy when my school asked us to join tuition and computer classes for free in the Planet Hope Asia organization. I like attending classes and especially computer classes because I like the feeling I get when I sit in front of the computer. I also painted the computer classroom and study room according to how I want, I was happy I drew well and all my friends and my teacher Kavya akka appreciated my drawing”.
